TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
